Sandblast Supplies

When our memorial business first went into sandblasting in the late 70’s we were completely green. We bought what we thought was a good system. It arrived in a box along with some very basic operating instructions and that was it – we’d entered the sandblasting era. We learnt by trial and error and it was sometimes a very painful process. After two years we knew we had made the right decision in going into sandblasting but unfortunately we had bought the wrong equipment.

Determined not to make the same mistake again and now knowing exactly what to look for we scoured North America and Europe looking the right equipment. We eventually settled on a big automatic cabinet manufactured in Germany by Goldmann. It was a lot more expensive than anything else we saw and it caused a lot of soul searching at the time but it was a decision we were never to regret.

After thirty years of extraordinary service, we finally updated our old cabinet which was still churning out memorials every day at the touch of a button. It still had the greatest capacity for producing memorials of any system currently operating in the UK and we were forced into changing it as the switchgear was begining to show it's age and was proving difficult to source...

Two years after buying our cabinet from Goldmann we were given the opportunity to take on the Goldmann agency for Great Britain and Ireland; The Blast Shop was born.

The reason for this tale is simple - we don’t use Goldmann equipment because we sell it, we sell it because we use it. And that goes for most of the other sandblasting products we sell. more...

Sales of machinery may have started the business but sales of supplies and spares have meant it has continued to expand for the last 25 years. We stock a large range of tungsten nozzles to suit most sandblast units and if we can't source the exact nozzle for the machine then we can always supply a holder to suit one's that are more readily available. Take a look at the following page for a detailed view on all the different shapes and sizes we stock. more...

Because of the nature of sandblasting parts naturally have a limited lifetime. We stock spares for a large range of sandblast units including Goldmann, Hodge Clemco, Lindsay and Scheibenbogen. If you need blast hose, mixing valves, solenoids, etc. try us first.

You've sourced the sandblaster, we've provided the spares but you're still going to need some grit to go with it! We stock a variety of abrasives in large range of sizes. Whether you're blasting stone, wood or glass, whatever the depth or finish you require, we can advise on suitable grit. more...
